Stephanie Rickard is an experienced trial attorney whose primary focus is client satisfaction. As a former prosecutor for the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, she has represented both individuals and major national corporations in both criminal and civil cases.

Ms. Rickard received her law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from San Jose State University. She is admitted to practice in all courts of the state of California and Federal Court and represents clients in Santa Clara, Alameda, San Mateo, San Francisco, Marin, Contra Costa, Santa Cruz, San Benito, and Monterey counties. She also represents many clients who are residents of other states and countries and has interpreters available at no additional fee for most languages.

I have been practicing law for over 25 years. For several years, I was a Deputy DA where I prosecuted the cases I now defend. The relationships I’ve built in those years in the courtroom have given me the foundation to present the most successful defense for my clients. My approach is based on setting goals with the client and getting the best result for each and every one of them. I am available to you to discuss your case with you. I do not limit time and am available for phone calls and emails with you. I am simple and serious, approachable, and knowledgeable. A successful resolution to a case depends on your goals.
My Fees
The expense to successfully defend a serious criminal case depends on the nature of the case. In addition to attorney’s fees, your case might require additional expenses for investigation and expert witnesses. I am not the least expensive criminal defense firm, but I am not the most expensive, either. I base my fees on the complexity of the case. I can usually provide you with a fee quote after an initial consultation.
